Plenary Fitness Simple Cures for Common Ailments takes the next logical step. It covers a broad range of common health problems and looks at traditional and non-traditional methods to dealing with these issues.

Let me list some of the pros and cons to this book. Overall I really like it so far.
Pros: The books is very well organized. It is easy to find what you are looking for and each subsection contains the information you'd expect and are likely looking for. There are some great suggestions to address the health concerns. I love the simplified list at the end of each section for those who don't feel like reading through each piece. Reading through many of the health problems and how to deal with them I saw many ways of dealing with a health problem I've never heard of, it was fresh, new, and sounded plausible. Lastly I also loved the graphics, they helped to explain the information better.
Cons: I'm used to a book with more depth of information. This book doesn't necessarily explain the mechanism of how the different cures work. Even though I enjoyed the graphics, I would have liked pictures in the Back Aches section to explain some of the movements.
Like I said before, overall it is an excellent book and now sits on my shelf next to my other Plenary Fitness book, as a reference.

Plenary Fitness Simple Cures for Common Ailments Lawrence SylouCreutz Ojermark 9781479273904 Books Reviews

It is rare to find a truly balanced fitness regimen in the modern era. Most diets and work outs are targeted at a specific goal and leave the rest to the side. This is fine if you only want that one thing. But the Plenary program presents a much more well rounded approach that will manifest in ways that will enlighten you and will instill benefits that you didn't even know you were missing. You need look no further than the title, a weird word but a perfect summation. You will get stronger, faster and more flexible, that is a given and many work out plans can do that. But Plenary fitness separates itself but making this a larger component of a life well lived. An excellent first step toward a greater plateau of mind body harmony and a deeper appreciation of the human condition. Worth every single penny.
I'm loving how this book can take something so complex and make it relatively simple as to not overwhelm someone just starting out. Yet at the same time meeting the needs of those athletes that already have a good foundation and just want to build on it. The progression of the book is very well thought out providing a solid foundation to build on and support the development of Plenary Fitness treating the athlete as a whole physically, mentally, and nutritionally. The author has used an evidence based practice approach along with personal experiences of himself and his mentors to create a wellness program that promotes physically fitness and injury prevention. I've been an occupational therapist for more than a decade, exposed to several varying workout programs. Plenary fitness is so well thought out that I have begun recommending it to several of my clients. I highly recommend this wellness program.
I have been involved with fitness and nutrition most of my life, and as others have mentioned, there is not much new one can say about these topics. The power of "Plenary Fitness" is its integrated approach. "Plenary Fitness" could as well be entitled, A Way to Health and Well Being. Tension and stress are as unhealthful as being overweight or lacking body strength and aerobic capacity. Having the foresight to address those areas and integrate them with the rest of a fitness program makes this truly a plenary approach. As well, the voice in the book is friendly and encouraging, not pushy or militant and is practical in terms of modern lifestyles. Giving this book to a friend or loved one is a most gracious gift, for you are giving them the possibility of health and well-being, and what could be more important than that?
Fire - This book has it all...tips, advice & links to pictures & videos. Lots of useful info here.
I've read a lot of fitness and health books over the years and doing so has taught me to be careful believing everything these "health experts" have to say. Not only does this book present a lot of good information, it does so in a manner that's easy to read and understand. The author did a good job of explaining how and why his methods work through scientific reasoning and real world statistics. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn more about themselves and continue to lead a happier, healthier life.
I must admit I was debating between a four and five star review. I thought the book would have more about learning to do martial arts and fighting techniques. It turned out to be a book on how to transform one's health. I almost didn't try it, but I was curious. It's only been a week, but I have already seen results, which is interesting because I already thought I was leading a pretty healthy life.
What ultimately tipped the book toward a five star review was how it provided an integrated approach to health that has already had positive effects on my body, my sleep, and my mood!
I just wanted to add my vote of confidence to this excellent Fitness Program. It covers all of the major areas of physical fitness including nutrition, exercise, sleep, meditation and massage. Although the book could use some additional editing for "typos", etc., the material is well researched and presented in a concise manner. Thanks for publishing it.
